with mild winters. Rainfall occurs most frequently in the form of thundershowers; monthly and annual
amounts are variable: Thundershower activity reaches its peak late in spring and early
in summer.
Winds are strongest during intense thunderstorms, but these are

associated with strong low-pressure centers.
